Vocational training project teaching workshop on natural medicine and detoxification

As part of the social and skills training project, our foundation has integrated natural medicine workshops and consultations in the various communities with which the program is working.

We visited the community of Sontule Miraflor in the municipality of Esteli, where we gave workshops on the importance of natural medicine to support processes of detoxification from alcohol or drugs. This workshop was held with 70 adult men who are in the rehabilitation center as well as residents of the local community.

Two general practitioners, who are also specialists in naturopathy and psychosocial therapists, cooperate with the program and provided medical attention in addition to parrticipating in the workshop. The project offers natural medicine and alternative therapies totally free both to the local community and to the men staying in the rehabilitation center. On this visit a total of 89 people were treated.
