Our main objective is to improve life for families in northern Nicaragua. Thanks to the inspiration and guidance of our supporters and funders, our programs emphasize the crucial role of well-designed social policy initiatives for a prosperous and healthy society. We believe the best way to achieve this is by providing access to quality education, health care and social work programs for for under-resourced, low income communities in the region, particularly for women and children. Over the years, we have built a successful integral community development model, focusing on disadvantaged families in rural communities and outlying urban districts of Estelí.
Where We Serve
We promote sustainable community development in underserved and low income communities in northern Nicaragua from our home base in Estelí.
Estelí, officially Villa de San Antonio de Pavia de Estelí, known as “the Diamond of the Segovias,” is the third largest city in Nicaragua. Located in the northern central highlands, along the Pan-American Highway, not too far from the Honduran border, this city, surrounded by mountains, tobacco farms and nature reserves, is a fast growing, commercial center with a bustling university environment, one of the best soccer clubs in the country (the Real Estelí), and an extensive street mural collection.
