Project against domestic violence
Program workers continued their visits to 12 communities of the municipalities of Esteli, San Nicolas and La Trinidad, involving psychosocial care activities and training workshops.
Our team ensures appropriate legal advice in variosu sensitive cases, including the custody of two minors; follow-up of a minor who is suffering from violence from his father; the case of a minor who is pregnant and presents emotional instability.
In total, the program offered training, guidance and support to 158 people in October, among which 32 received psychosocial care.
The project coordinates with the School of Social Work of Boston University and the local campus of Nicaragua’s National Autonomous University, to carry out training for students of social work and psychology as well as some teachers of these careers as part of the strengthening and integral learning of the students.
