Music, dance and art education project Sones Segovianos

This year Sones Segovianos is developing a music ensemble with teachers of the various instruments using appropriate works of music to teach students how to work together in a collaborative way, learning to play their instruments together as they develop coordination and teamwork.

Our painting classes have focused on techniques using watercolor and acrylic paints, as well as drawing in charcoal and pastel chalk, with a focus on learning how to work with different materials and how they can be best used for different themes.

Our dance classes offer different styles although the main focus continues to be national folk dances. But students are also learning modern dance, exploring bodily expression, rhythm and coordination in a creative and dynamic forms.
