Medical brigade to El Espinal, Estelí

On March 18th, our psychologist Karen Villarreyna and legal worker Maria Feliz Castillo accompanied another medical brigade in coordination with the local Health Ministry (MINSA), on this occasion to the community of El Espinal in the municipality of Estelí. Accompanying Karen and Maria Felix were two medical students and two social work students from the Estelí campus of Nicaragua's National Autonomous University. On this occasion Karen and Maria Felix worked with three patients who wanted to talk about their problems in the home. The medical group consisted of specialists in internal medicine, gynecology and psychology as well as general medical practitioners and laboratory personnel. This group saw a total of 106 patients including over 30 children.
