Activities carried out by the Project against Domestic Violence
In July our program addressing domestic violence visited the communities of Sontule, Puertas Azules, San Nicolas and La Trinidad where talks were given on self esteem, how it is defined and 4 important aspects that must be taken care of such as: the physical, social, emotional and cognitive aspects, recognizing the damage caused by arbitrary social stigmas.
The workshops also encouraged sharing experiences, emphasizing the importance of feeling good about oneself and sharing what participants in the workshop learned with their family members.
The program’s team also visited the Casa Materna, a health ministry facility caring for women from rural areas in the last weeks before giving birth, where talks were given on postpartum and emotional intelligence during pregnancy.
