Medical brigade in the community of Las Lajas, municipality of La Trinidad
In August, a medical brigade made up of local doctors from Nicaragua’s Health Ministry offered free consultations to the inhabitants of the communities surrounding Las Lajas in La Trinidad.
Thirty-two ultrasounds were performed, of which ten were prostate, as well as 15 dental consultations, 26 natural medicine consultations, 187 general medicine consultations and one psychosocial care was offered.
In order to continue improving the health services available to families in these local communities a medical laboratory accompanying the brigade offered HIV tests, blood tests, family planning, vaccinations against COVID and 16 pap smears were performed.
It should be noted that these brigades are carried out thanks to the support of the Ministry of Health and the health personnel of the community health posts, we also received the support of the students of the National Autonomous University UNAN-FAREM-Estelí.
