Visit to Bonanza, creating a multicultural exchange with emphasis on the reduction of domestic violence
A visit was made to the municipality of Bonanzas in the North Atlantic Autonomous Region of Nicaragua, with the objective of diagnosing the main social problems that impede the satisfactory development of the economy, education and the family.
A space was provided for the exchange of different points of view related to alternatives to respond to the problems raised.
For this exchange was of great value and importance to have the authorities and leaders who work every day to promote such stability, within these authorities we had the Delegate of the Ministry of the Family, representative of the Public Defender, representative of the women's association, Judicial Facilitators, Women representative of the Maygnas communities (who work in cooperatives) and staff of the Mayor's Office of Bonanza.
All this was possible thanks to the coordination and commitment of the Mayor of Bonanza, the Mayor of Esteli, Fundacion Superemos and also to our friend Dr. Luz Lopez from Boston University.
During this visit different activities were conducted on the detection of victims of domestic violence, how to work as a team, and recognize methodologies to work better with genuine cooperativism, as a result of these activities it was agreed to give continuity to more workshops on social, legal and leadership issues in order to solve the problems detected and raised by the participating group jointly and with multidisciplinary teams, also with sporadic follow-up visits and connections via zoom.
