Preschool fluoride varnish program

In February this year Superemos has continued supporting Boston University’s School of Dental Medicine’s five year program of preventive dental care using fluoride varnish in a group of preschools in the urban area of Estelí. Last year the program was adversely affected by the restrictions addressing the COVID-19 pandemic with many fewer preschool students than usual going to classes regularly. Attendance has dramatically improved and stabilized this year. These are some photographs of students in the Mis Primeros Pasos preschool who participate in the program receiving their first quarterly fluoride varnish application for this year.
