Artistically recognizing emotions and learning about domestic violence

The ICES team together with fifth-year Psychology students, held a session at the Fe y Alegría school in the community of Jícaro, with primary school students in order for them to recognize their emotions and how to manage them via art therapy together with the art educator who belongs to the Sones Segovianos project in the area of painting, The participants were actively integrated, producing excellent works.

The activity was attended by 20 people including children and adolescents between 6 and 18 years old. The impact of this activity was significant, not only because of the positive response of the participants, but also because of the ability it demonstrated for art to act as a means of emotional connection and communication.
