Activities of the project addressing domestic violence, in the month of December

In December the ICES program gave workshop talks on resilience including explanation of what this concept refers to, how to recognize the importance of having emotional intelligence and being resilient in family situations. A total of 5 communities were visited with two visits to the maternal shelter for expectant mothers from remote rural communities. We also managed to reach the culmination of the programs seminars with students of Social Work and Psychology of the Autonomous University of Nicaragua, CUR-ESTELÍ, which consisted of the presentation of their final course project in which they presented a video showing a situation that leads to post-traumatic stress), participants included CUR-Estelí teachers, the ICES team and Lyn Styczynski via an on line connection from Boston.
