Activities of the project against domestic violence

The project against domestic violence continues visiting different communities in the department of Esteli, offering psychosocial care to more than 23 families and legal advice in two cases of violence, as well as talks in 11 rural communities covering topics related to the prevention of sexual abuse in children and adolescents since several communities have presented problems in terms of physical and emotional health. In some of these communities the ICES team has been following up those visited with the local medical brigades organized in coordination with the Health Ministry in San Nicolas and La Trinidad.

The ICES team was invited to the presentation of the PROTOCOL 25-2020, as part of the curriculum of the Diploma that has been developed since October 2023 in coordination with UNAN Managua CUR Esteli and Aldeas Infantiles S.O.S., the objective of this activity was to share the guidelines and actions established in the protocol for the main agencies involved in addressing domestic violence and those responsible for the application of justice in cases of sexual crimes against minors.
