Preventive health and social work project - installation of ecological toilet
The project benefits a family in the community of Mozonte in the city of Ocotal, near the frontier with Honduras. In this community there is no sewage system, offering the basic service necessary to maintain ambiente completely free of contamination.
The beneficiary family has a total of 5 people, 3 children and 2 elderly adults who requested this project to improve their living conditions protect the environment in a responsible way.
The ecological toilets work via an anaerobic process because inside the plastic tank no air enters thus allowing bacteria to form that disintegrate the human waste, maintaining a temperature of C40º inside the tank achieving a satisfactory final decomposition of the feces into a suspension of microorganisms which eliminate any pathogens before the suspension exits through the system’s filtration tube the same as in a septic tank.
