Medical dental brigade

On April 10th we received a delegation of doctors and students from the School of Dental Medicine from Boston University, who came to continue the dental prevention project they began with Superemos and the local health authority in 2016

Since then we have been benefiting children preschools on the city of Esteli, offering fluoride application for the prevention of caries, as well as clinical care for those children who need different types of dental treatment or extractions. The program serves around 700 children in coordination with the Ministry for the Family and Adolescents and Children, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education to ensure good dental preventive care to children participating in the program. The Boston University team gave dental care in the local Health Center to over 80 children from the program who needed attention.
