Medical brigade in Chaguite Blanco and Puertas Azules

In the second week of March, the medical brigade of the Foundation Superemos in coordination with MINSA went on two outings to the communities of Chaguite Blanco, municipality of La Trinidad and Puertas Azules, municipality of Esteli.

In these visits, attention was offered in the specialities of; Ultrasound, Odontology, Laboratory, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, General Medicine, Natural Medicine, Nursing, Family Control and HIV. In the community of Chaguite Blanco, 295 patients were attended and 335 consultations and 17 PAP tests were carried out.

In the community of Puertas Azules-MIRAFLOR, 200 patients were attended and 239 consultations and 29 PAP examinations were carried out. It should be noted that part of the medication was provided, as well as a dental health protection kit.

During these visits we were accompanied by three social work students, five medical students and a foreign colleague from the Czech Republic, as well as by the team that works with victims of domestic violence and psychosocial care.
