Domestic violence project activities during the month of July

Preventive educational talks were held in 12 rural communities in the municipality of Esteli where the ICES team works, providing follow-up to patients needing psychosocial care. The team also gave legal advice to 2 cases of violence and neglect.

The ICES team also conducted dynamics and educational talks in 2 rural schools in the communities of Miraflor, Estelí and Guingajapa in San Nicolas, on the themes of the importance of self-esteem and of self-care as prevention against the risk of sexual abuse.

We also made a home visit to a case of minors reported under the guidelines of protocol 25-2020 and who, in coordination between the Health Ministry, the Ministry of the Family and the administration of Fundación Superemos, have been provided with support to improve their living conditions and ensuring they are monitored for lack of protection.
